Prodigal God Sermon Series and Small Group Study
Find Your Place at the Table

Publication1 (350 x 502)

January 10- February 14

Church-wide Bible Study
First Presbyterian Church will kick off an exciting six week study of the Parable of the Prodigal in Luke 15 for the New Year. Together we will study the parable through a sermon series coupled with weekly small group gatherings. This campaign is inspired by a book and discussion guide written by Dr. Tim Keller called The Prodigal God.

Begin an unforgettable journey of discovering one of the most powerful yet most misunderstood parables of the Bible - The Parable of the Prodigal Son. The Prodigal God curriculum will help you uncover the essential message of the parable: that the gospel is neither religion nor irreligion, neither morality nor immorality, but something else entirely.

Find Your Place at the Table
We are encouraging all small groups to join us in this study. A few new groups are forming and already established groups are open to new members. If you are not a member of a weekly small group and would like to join one, please sign up at the display in the Fellowship Hall or click here. Please note that only weekly small groups will be joining this study.

Prayer
Our goal is to move together through the parable, and be challenged and encouraged by a fresh perspective. The discussion guide has a prayer on Page 13 that says, "We pray, God, you would grant us a fresh understanding of the gospel and that our group would be enlightened by this study." Please pray for this series that it will have an impact on all of our lives and challenge us in new ways.

Book and Study Guides
We have purchased the book and study guide at a discounted rate for you. You can pick up your copy from the display in the Fellowship Hall. Please make checks payable to First Presbyterian Church.
