August 25th at 5:30 PM: Join us for a Kick Off Carnival and Cookout to celebrate the beginning of our fall semester together!

September 1st: Family Supper at 5:30 PM and our Adult Electives begin at 6:15 PM.

Fall Adult Electives

Recovering Joy: 12 week study meeting in Lawson-Rain Chapel.
Led by Jim Dameron & Kathy Griffin.
Have the circumstances of life robbed you of your joy? Perhaps you have suffered from the loss of a job or income, or, perhaps, you have lost a loved one. Whatever the reason, you have lost the joy of your life and you want to recover it.

A Study on Revelation: God Wins!: 12 week study meeting in the Fellowship Hall.

Led by Rev. Chris Handley.
In contrast to the Left Behind approach to Revelation, which primarily sees it as a book unveiling end time events, we will approach Revelation using a curriculum developed by Dr. Lew Vander Meer which looks back to events that have already happened to the church and that are contiuing into the present and the future. The theme of this approach is "God Wins!" We will celebrate together the unveiling of Jesus Christ, who gives his church hope and joy and victory in the midst of the world's suffering and turmoil. this will complement the study the women are doing over the course of the year in their circles.

Sacred Marriage by Gary Thomas: 6 week study meeting in the Good Samaritan Room.

Led by Dr. Barry Jenkins
While many books have been written on the "How to's" of marriagem this study will ask the question, "What if God designed marriage to make us Holy more than to make us Happy?" Marriage is more than a sacred covenant with another person. It is a spiritual discipline designed to help you know God better, trust him more fully, and love him more deeply. Join us as we look at how our marriages can become doorways to a closer walk with God.
