How Can I Know God?

There’s a book that contains an incredible story of love and forgiveness. This good news was written just for you. In this book, God tells us how desperately He wants to us to know Him, and it lays out 3 clear points:

First, the Bible tells us that mankind has a problem, and this problem is sin.
As Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Since each one of us has this problem, what can we do about it?

Second, the good news is that God provided a solution.
1 John 4:9 tells us, “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.” He loved us so much that He gave us the gift of His Son Jesus to die for us, and take the place of our sin. So what do we do with this gift?

Third, the Bible demands a decision.
It’s not enough to just know about God and His story of love. You must choose to put your trust in Christ, to receive this free gift of salvation that God offers. When we accept this gift, we come into His perfect love of acceptance and forgiveness. John 1:12 says, “Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” You can do this by praying a simple prayer, telling God you know you are a sinner who needs forgiveness, and you are ready to accept His son Jesus as your personal savior. There is no need to worry that God did not hear you. His word promises us that “everyone who calls on the name of Lord will be saved.” If you prayed this prayer of repentance, you are now His child!

Where do I go from here?
