Women’s Retreat

All Women In Ministry at First Presbyterian Church in Florence are invited to a fellowship and fun retreat at Black Water Farms on Saturday, February 29,

9 am to 2 pm.

Black Water Farms is a beautiful privately owned farm in Florence County. It’s not too far, but just far enough to enjoy the countryside.

We will gather there around 9 a.m. that Saturday morning.  After a devotional time together we will break up to enjoy craft lessons or to just enjoy the company, conversation, and fellowship with others.

So far, the craft stations are:

Landscape Painting (Leader -Sasha Hall)-supplies will be provided

Knitting/ Crocheting (Leader-Donna Grubb) – yarn and a limited number of practice needles and hooks will available- If you want to bring your own hook or needles, a crochet hook size 4mm up to 5.5mm is a good size for beginners. Knitting needles size 9 or 10 is good for beginners.

Origami (Leader-Betsy Olsen) -supplies will be provided

Making Terrariums from woodland plants you gather around the farm (Leader-Ida Whitehead) – you will need to bring a clean, empty large wide mouth clear glass jar, such as a large Mt Olive Pickle Jar. Please bring a small trowel or old dinner fork for gathering your small plants as well as a small basket or box for collecting them.

Make your own Bath Soap Bombs (Leader-Heather Taylor) – supplies provided.

Fiber Art Painting (Leader – Linda Smiley) – supplies will be provided.

Line Dancing (Leader – Betsey Moore)

Lunch will be served – soup and sandwiches
